Who we're looking for
- Compiler engineers and language designers
- Make Rust a first-class language for GPU programming so we can create the most advanced, safe, and performant GPU software. We have a lot of novel compiler and language design work to do. No prior Rust experience required, but you should be excited to learn it. Bonus points if you work on rustc, wasm, Cranelift, or LLVM.
- Experienced Rust engineers
- Write complex GPU-native applications and runtimes in Rust. No GPU experience required, but you should be excited to learn it. Bonus points if you have experience writing virtual machines, async executors, distributed systems, databases, or language runtimes in Rust. More points if you contribute to popular Rust projects.
- AI/ML engineers
- Write GPU-native AI/ML frameworks and supporting tools in Rust. No prior Rust experience required, but you should be excited to learn it.
- GPU kernel engineers
- No prior Rust experience required, but you should be excited to learn it.
- CUDA experts, Vulkan experts, ROCm experts, CANN experts
- No prior Rust experience required, but you should be excited to learn it.
- Linux kernel engineers
- No prior Rust experience required, but you should be excited to learn it. Bonus points if you work on graphics drivers or Rust for Linux.
- Linux userland graphics engineers
- Mesa/DRM and related technologies. No prior Rust experience required, but you should be excited to learn it.
- Graphics engineers
- No prior Rust experience required, but you should be excited to learn it.
Where we're looking for them
- Remote
- We hire the best people regardless of location. No current employee is in the same country.
Why you wouldn't want to work here
- You need a fully developed roadmap or certainty on what you will be working on. We are still exploring the space.
- You want to be in an office. We don't have one yet.
- You are opposed to working with proprietary software or hardware. CUDA, proprietary drivers, and proprietary TPUs are a reality we must deal with.
- You are opposed to using, enabling, or creating AI such as LLMs. AI is a major driver of GPU demand.
- You are opposed to VC-backed startups.
